Zehnder Group intends to acquire Airthings' business segment for indoor air quality monitoring
- Signing of a letter of intent to sell Airthings' business segment assets to Zehnder
- Targeted strengthening of Zehnder's growing Clean Air Solutions service division with innovative solutions for indoor air quality monitoring
- Asset Purchase Agreement planned, pending customary due diligence
Gränichen (CH), 16 June 2025: Zehnder Group (SIX: ZEHN), a leading international provider of complete solutions for a comfortable, energy-efficient and healthy indoor climate plans to acquire the business segment assets of Airthings ASA. The two companies have signed a letter of intent to this effect. Airthings, headquartered in Oslo, Norway, develops and sells solutions for indoor air quality monitoring. The solutions for business customers complement Zehnder's growing industrial customer segment Clean Air Solutions, a service business for clean indoor air. The acquisition would enable Zehnder Group to strengthen its service business with this attractive segment in a targeted manner. In 2024, Airthings achieved sales of around USD 6 million in the business segment with an increasing share of recurring revenue. Following a customary due diligence, Airthings and Zehnder Group intend to sign an Asset Purchase Agreement.
Airthings is a leading technology company specializing in indoor air quality monitoring solutions. The award-winning technology was recognized by TIME’s Best Inventions and the CES Innovation Awards. To date, more than 1 million devices have been sold worldwide in the consumer and business segments.
Zehnder Clean Air Solutions, a division of Zehnder Group, delivers tailored solutions that significantly reduce airborne dust, pollutants, and harmful particles in industrial, commercial, and logistics facilities. Zehnder offers all products and services, from installation and commissioning to maintenance, including regular filter replacement, via a subscription model.
