Datacolor in fiscal 2009/10

Implementation of the growth strategy of the Datacolor Group, a leading manufacturer and global provider of software and hardware systems for color measurement and communication as well as color calibration, has already impacted positively on the result for the 2009/10 fiscal year. Following the decrease posted in the previous fiscal year owing to the economic downturn, consolidated net sales were up by 16 percent to CHF 59.5 million (FY 2008/09: CHF 51.2 million). In local currency terms the increase was as high as 23 percent. Earnings also improved significantly: EBITDA increased from CHF -0.6 million to CHF 6.8 million (margin: 11.4%), EBIT from CHF -2.0 million to CHF 5.4 million (margin: 9.1%) and profit for the year from CHF 2.6 million to CHF 4.7 million. Datacolor is debt-free and has a substantial net cash position of CHF 20 million and a comfortable equity capital ratio of 57 percent (September 30, 2009: 60%).
