Munich/Bratislava, Slovakia - October 11, 2014 - JOJ Group, Bratislava-based media house, operating four channels and Munich-based kids television specialist Your Family Entertainment AG join forces to launch the world's first Slovak language family entertainment channel RiK.

The sister channel of the only private European German language kids channel RiC, named after the famous RiC the Raven, will launch at the beginning of 2015, being the first channel for kids in Slovak language in the world.

In the cooperation JOJ Group brings its deep understanding and professional expertise in launching successful channels in Slovakia, and Your Family Entertainment its award-winning expertise in children's channel broadcasting. It's worth noting that the pay TV children's broadcaster of YFE "yourfamily" was nominated again last week as the world's best kids television channel for the prestigious Eutelsat TV Awards in Rome, Italy.

"We are very pleased JOJ Group will bring RiK to our market as the first channel for kids in Slovak language. We are looking forward to entertaining our youngest audience with programmes that will make them laugh and learn and enjoy their time with TV. We hope RiK will become a good companion and friend not only for children but also for their parents who can count on quality and responsible kids-friendly programming.", says Marcel Grega, CEO of JOJ Group.

RiK will broadcast European animation classics such as "Fix&Foxi" and the live-action TV series such as "Enid Blyton", "Swiss Family Robinson", movies of the week like "Twist in the Tale" and further more.

"Already five years ago Your Family Entertainment AG planned to launch a kids channel in Slovakia, and now with our partner RiK, the first Slovak language kids channel becomes a reality. Similar to Germans and Austrians, Slovak parents are very quality conscious, and so is the management of JOJ Group, who selected us as partners mostly because of quality reasons." says Stefan Piëch, CEO of YFE.

"This innovative partnership of JOJ and Your Family Entertainment will continue our roll out of free and pay tv channels that will be loved by kids, families and platforms in markets around the world. This new service will combine the very best ingredients of localisation and relevance to Slovakia and world class international program content." Paul Robinson, EVP International Channels.
