Munich, October 21, 2013 – Today Nemetschek AG (ISIN 0006452907) announced that Viktor Varkonyi (46), since 2009 CEO of Graphisoft SE, and Sean Flaherty (44), since 2005 CEO of Nemetschek Vectorworks Inc., have been promoted to the Executive Board of Nemetschek AG. Both managers bring comprehensive knowledge of international markets, deep experience in the software industry and strong leadership to the new Executive Management Team.

The Nemetschek Group seeks a leading position in the AECO (Architectural, Engineering, Construction, and Operation) and design industry and plans to benefit from great growth opportunities due to the rapid technology change and digitalization of building processes. By this extension of the Executive Management, the Supervisory Board of Nemetschek AG sets a fundamental organizational step to achieve that.

As Senior Vice Presidents of Nemetschek AG, they will be responsible to define and execute the Nemetschek Group strategy, mission and vision in the global AECO and design markets.
Viktor Varkonyi serves since 20 years in several positions at Graphisoft. Viktor and his colleagues have developed this company into a global market leader in the field of Building Information Modeling (BIM) solutions.

Sean Flaherty serves since 27 years in different positions at Vectorworks. Together with his team, he creates and markets professional CAD and BIM solutions for designers in the global AEC, entertainment and landscape design industry.

Both Senior Managers convince with their sharp business sense, strategic leadership, experience and a passion for technology, and are respected by employees, customers and partners worldwide. By adding experienced brand CEOs to the Executive Board, we build on the strength of our brand entities to extend our market positions in global markets.

Viktor Varkonyi will continue to be responsible as CEO of Graphisoft SE and Sean Flaherty will continue to be responsible as CEO of Nemetschek Vectorworks Inc. Both will manage these brand entities to leading software companies in the ´design to build´ market segment.
The search for the new Financial and Operational Executive Manager is advanced and the new CFOO will be announced soon.
