++ Heliad Equity Partners plans to introduce consistent dividend policy ++ First distribution planned for 2010 financial year ++ Distribution quota: 25% to 50% of annual surplus ++ Stable earnings growth at portfolio companies

By paying a dividend, Heliad Equity Partners GmbH & Co KGaA (ISIN: DE000A0L1NN5) plans to enable its shareholders to participate consistently in the company's success in future. The management has laid down the basic principles governing the dividend policy for the coming years. Accordingly, Heliad aims to distribute between 25% and 50% of its annual surplus each year as a dividend. The company plans to distribute a dividend for the 2010 financial year, and thus for the first time ever in its history. A corresponding resolution is to be submitted for approval by the 2011 Annual General Meeting.

By introducing this dividend policy, Heliad Equity Partners is accounting for its pleasing and stable long-term performance. The portfolio, with its strict focus on direct investments in medium-sized companies, has been optimised in recent years by scaling down those investments not consistent with the company's strategy. Currently consisting of eight core shareholdings, the portfolio provides a strong foundation for repeated earnings contributions, while also allowing for additional purchases and sales. Heliad is very much on target in the current 2010 financial year to date.

'The first ever distribution we plan to make for the 2010 financial year provides a clear signal of the importance we attach to shareholder value within our focused investment approach. Heliad has already successfully executed value-adding exits from portfolio companies in the past. With our existing, larger and robust portfolio, regular exits will form a firm component of the company's strategy in future. Our objective of paying a dividend of between 25% and 50% of our annual surplus should provide new and existing shareholders alike with an attractive possibility of participating in our earnings', commented Ralf Flore, CEO of Heliad Equity Partners.
