By taking over Print64 with effect from 1 January, the Heliad Equity Partners GmbH & Co. KGaA portfolio company RT Reprotechnik has acquired one of the offset-printing market leaders in the area of high-end production and finishing. The Leipzig-based reprographic services specialist is successfully continuing its course of expansion and is broadening its product range as a result of this acquisition. In addition to offset printing, serigraphy and digital printing, Print64 offers a broad range of supplemental treatments for printed matter. It offers, for example, special colours and varnishes, creative folds, perforations and embossing as well as unusual carrier materials and substances.
With this acquisition, RT Reprotechnik has obtained outstanding know-how in the area of product-finishing. It also enables the company to increase the range of services it can offer in the area of premium-quality offset printing. Effective immediately, Print64 Daten Druck Verarbeitung GmbH and the Norderstedt-based Print64 GmbH & Co. KG will operate under the name of 'Print64 Druckwerkstätten GmbH'.

'With Print64, we have acquired a company that is one of the highest quality providers in the industry', explains Petra Wallasch, Managing Director of RT Reprotechnik. 'This is a particularly attractive investment for us due to Print64's customer base consisting of well-known companies, its motivated management team and its enormous product expertise.' Print64 is one of the industry's innovation leaders. The company has, for example, won the 'Druck & Medien Award' (Print & Media Award) and the innovation prize awarded by the German printing industry.

With this acquisition, based on a buy-and-build transaction, Heliad Equity Partners is following its strategic approach of expanding its portfolio companies by acquiring important spheres of business and competitors.
RT Reprotechnik operates more than 35 branch offices in Germany, Austria and Russia and is one of the top 3 companies in the industry. The company, which specialises in all types of reproductions, currently has around 270 employees. It is the goal of the company to become the market leader for reprographic services in Germany.
